Billy Martin's USA, Inc. and Best American Brands Corporation Sign Letter of Intent for New Footwear Line

Billy Martin's USA, Inc. (OTC: BYMN) and Best American Brands Corp. have signed a letter of intent to enter into a joint venture agreement for the development of a line of men's and women's footwear, including western-inspired boots and hiking boots, carrying the company's 25 year old "Billy Martin's" brand name.

According to Billy Martin's CEO, Doug Newton, who founded the company in New York City -- along with former NY Yankee manager, Billy Martin -- "Our goal will be to work closely with Best American Brands and their design personnel to identify new product offerings, consistent with our positioning as a purveyor of authentic American and western-lifestyle goods and services which we have been promoting and selling in our boutiques since 1978."

"At the same time," Newton said, "we plan to use an innovative distribution plan to introduce the new footwear products to the market place." Initially, they will be targeted to a data base of over 25 million potential customers who heretofore have not had a chance to purchase Billy Martin's products, except via the company's own retail store locations in East Hampton, Hollywood, and New York City.

Newton said he is in talks with top management of a "major US website, based in Miami, Florida, whose audience composition, and demographics, we believe, would be very positively disposed to our new products, especially boots and footwear with a western flair to them, at very affordable prices. The data base of this popular e-commerce site encompasses a wide spectrum of customers, embracing Black Americans, White Americans, Hispanic and Latino Americans."

Best American Brands will assist in the design and development of the goods , subject to creative design and quality control which will be maintained by Billy Martin's at all times. The letter of intent is for the development of specific product categories and will not affect or be in competition with any existing agreements either party may have with any other designer, licensee, licensor and/or manufacturer.
